Being a Conductor of Healing Energy

5/28/2012

Every time I give a medical qigong treatment, I am amazed at what happens.  In a recent treatment, a woman with back pain came in and during her treatment I could “see” little bulges, almost as if they were  tiny bulging balloons coming out from her lower spine.  I then focused on directing healing energy to that location.  I could “see” the healing energy slowly building layers to bring back those bulges into the proper location.   I then saw this energy weaving a gentle protective layer around her spine as an attempt to keep her ruptured discs in place and help reduce her pain.

During another patient’s treatment I could “see” how her kidneys had improved and transformed each week, almost as if it was now a forest of new energy.  Her internal battery had been restored.

During another patient’s treatment, it was if my hands became transfixed and could not move from a certain location while energy was being directed and sent one of her organs.  I was clearly being a tool for another energy force that was directing her healing.

During these types of experiences, I am totally aware I am just a connector and conductor of this healing energy. I am always amazed and astounded by what happens during a Qigong medical treatment.  I am constantly reminded how energy can be directed, used, and can heal.  It is pretty cool!

Communicating in Images

5/21/2012

During a Qigong Medical treatment, I often see images in my mind as to what is going on within the client. Shen I tap into another person’s energy field, it is as if their energy forms a picture as means of telling me what is going on within them, and then I pick up on this image and translate it so I know what is going on.

When I am evaluating the the different organs in a person’s body, an image often pops in my mind that helps describes what is happening.  For example, when I was focusing on sending energy to a clients kidneys, which in Chinese Medicine is considered the persons storehouse of energy, kind of like the battery of the body, I may get an image of a kidney that looks like it is burned and singed.  This tells me the person is probably “burned out” and needs to rest more, stop burning the candle on both ends, find a way to nourish and care for themselves to replenish their inner spark. The image tells me they don't have enough stored up energy to combat their health problem.

Recently during a Qigong treatment, I saw a rather lifeless set of kidneys during her treatment. So during her treatment, I focused on sending a LOT of energy to her kidneys. She came back the following week for another treatment and in that one week, the image I now saw was new growth!  I saw little buds of green popping through soil.  It was thrilling to see this type of transformation in just one week!

I recognize that not all medical Qigong practitioners will see images during a treatment, but for me, I have found, this is how the client’s energy communicates with me  to let me know what is going on within the client. This ability to understanding these messages, and then act on those messages, is what helps clients get well.  The treatments can then be personal and can help pinpoint where the problem is and where healing energy is needed.

Self Healing

5/10/2012

Medical Qigong includes self-regulation therapy.  It also includes prescriptive exercises and meditation. Qigong is a way to keep your Qi moving and flowing so it can help your body, mind, and spirit.

As part of this process, I usually do meditations in the early morning and then gentle Qigong exercises over lunch.  In my Qigong-type meditations I sometimes have an idea in mind what want, such as nourishing my organs, or doing a micro-cosmic orbit and rebuilding my energy reserves.  But sometimes I just start and allow things to just happen.  Sometimes the change of events happen in the grounding, which is what, recently occurred.

Sometimes in a medical qigong treatment, I will use different colors in the treatment. Occasionally the color of a glittery gold will come to mind, and when this happens, it is as if this is a type of pure refined earth energy. I can also feel it come from a different source than the usual earth energy, which also seems to make it more special.

So during a meditation, I went through my typical grounding process and then felt as if something was taking over and my grounding connection continued deeper than expected, and also took a turn from what I expected.  I then noticed this glittery gold coming up from the grounding and nourishing me.  This was much unexpected.  I had never done this for me; only for my clients, but here was this energy source being funneled into me and I could immediately feel a difference within.

By using the personal Qigong tools, such as exercises and meditation for maintaining health, sometimes unexpected benefits in self healing can occur.

Daily 15 Minute Qigong Exercises

5/1/2012

I’m doing Qigong exercises almost every day.  At work, I go outside the office at noon and spend 15 minutes doing Qigong movements.  The movements are very similar to Tai Chi – gentle focused exercises that are easy to do.  No sweating. No gasping for air. These exercises are designed to engage your body, mind, and spirit.

I have noticed a change in how I feel just from this simple change in my life.  I’m getting more pleasure and enjoyment for just “being alive.”

When I first start the exercise, I stand still for a brief moment and notice the connection to mother earth.  I notice the air and the temperature and how it feels on my skin.  I notice the trees and how the leaves.  I notice the colors.  I observe the plants and listen to the sound of the birds.  In other words, I tune into the environment and engage my senses. I am immersed in and FEEL the life around me.

This change of thought seems to help develop and reinforce a new thought pathway that is being developed in my brain.  It is like the day itself and that feeling has now become imprinted in my body, mind, and soul.  This moment has become a snapshot of the day and I feel it as part of memory and experience in my life.

The next part of the Qigong exercise is spent warming up and moving each and every joint in the body.  This part of the exercise process is where I focus on moving the Qi so I FEEL that life force and energy within ME.  This part of the exercise takes about five to ten minutes.

The next phase of the Qigong exercise is where I engage my mind to focus on nourishing each of my main organs with deep breaths and different colors.  This takes about five minutes.

The final part of the exercise is taking the energy from the heavens and the earths to bless my body, mind, and soul with vibrant energy.  At times I can even feel a tingling of change within me as if my spirit is alive.  This takes about five minutes.

This Qigong exercise program is only 15 minutes each day, but the change in how I feel has made an impact and change in my life.  It has improved my attitude about life besides helped me feel more alive.
