In this video by "Action for Happiness", Dr. Martin Seligman recommends doing a "Three good things exercise" at the end of each day for a week. "You write down 3 things that went well today. Doing this changes your focus on the things that go well in your life. It breaks up depression and increases happiness" he reports.
Being grateful can help people cope with stress and can even have a beneficial effect on heart rate. This action is easy to do yet its benefits have been scientifically proven. In tests, people who tried it each night for just one week were happier and less depressed one month, three months and six months later.
Thoughts have energy. Our thoughts contribute to our sense of health and wellness. Redirecting our thoughts towards being grateful can help keep our Qi flowing and as a result, can contribute to improved health.
