Sometimes you don't know whether to trust the information you are getting on recommended treatments for your medical situation. Here are some online resources I trust and use to find out more about medical problems and treatment options.
  • Medline: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/
  • MedlinePlus: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/
  • Natural Medicines: https://naturalmedicines.therapeuticresearch.com/
  • Dietary Supplement Database http://www.dsld.nlm.nih.gov/dsld/
  • Office of Dietary Supplements: http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/list-all/
  • Herbs at a Glance by NIH http://nccam.nih.gov/health/herbsataglance.htm
  • NIH Health Topics http://nccam.nih.gov/health/atoz.htm
  • Andrew Weil, MD http://www.drweil.com/
  • Medscape: http://www.medscape.com/today
Sometimes the information at one trusted site may not jive with another trusted site, so in those instances, I may do a meditation, or just tune in and sense what my feelings are saying about the matter.  I also may share the conflicting information with my client and allow them to decide. After all, our bodies usually let us know in one way or another whether the path and choice is correct for them or not.

Meditation to Nourish the Internal Organs

2/26/2013

Here is a Qigong meditation I do to nourish my vital organs and help keep them energized so they can function smoothly.  I do this Qigong meditation about once a week.

I do this meditation sitting and with my eyes closed.

I begin by taking a deep breath and visualizing an imaginary root coming from the base of my spine and going deep into the earth.  I then visualize “my root” being connected with the earth and its tapping a source of life force energy.  I then visualize, notice, and feel the earth’s life force energy coming into the root and being carried up into my body.

I then turn my attention on my LIVER and GALLBLADDER. I visualize the color green coming from the earth and this root connection I have with the earth. Green is the energy frequency that can energize the liver.  I then visualize my liver filling with green vibrant Qi (chee) and do this until I feel it has been re-nourished.

I then turn my attention on my HEART, PERICARDIUM (the sack around the heart), SMALL INTESTINES.  I visualize the color RED coming from the earth and the root connection I have with the earth. Red is the energy frequency and pattern that harmonizes with the heart.  I visualize my heart filling with red vibrant Qi (chee) and do this until I feel it has been re-nourished  I then visualize my small intestines being nourished and filled with Qi.

I then turn my attention on my SPLEEN, STOMACH, and PANCREAS in my abdomen.  I visualize the color YELLOW coming from the earth and the root connection I have with the earth.  Yellow is the color and energy frequency most closely patterned with the spleen and stomach.  I visualize my spleen, stomach, and pancreas filling with yellow vibrant Qi (chee) and do this until I feel they are all nourished with life force energy.

I then turn my attention on my LUNGS and LARGE INTESTINES. I visualize the color WHITE coming from the earth and the root connection I have with the earth.  White is the color most closely connected to the energy which nourishes the lungs.  I visualize my lungs filling with white vibrant Qi (chee) and do this until I feel it has been re-nourished   I then visualize my large intestines being nourished and filled with Qi.

I then turn my attention on my KIDNEYS, BLADDER, and SEXUAL ORGANS. I visualize the dark BLUE or BLACK coming from the earth and the root connection I have with the earth.  Blue/black is the color most closely connected to the energy which nourishes the kidneys, bladder, and sexual organs (for females it is the uterus & ovaries/for males it is the testicles).  I visualize my kidneys filling with dark blue/black vibrant Qi (chee) and do this until I feel the kidneys are re-nourished   I then visualize my bladder and sexual organs being nourished and filled with Qi.

Next
  • I visualize my lower torso filling with the energy of the earth coming from the grounding root within the earth.  I visualize and feel the energy filling up with energy up to my diaphragm (rib cage).
  • I then visualize my upper torso filling with energy coming from my grounding root in the earth.  The energy then fills from my diaphragm up to my shoulders.
  • I finally visualize my head becoming filled with this same earth energy.
When I feel as if all the major organs are filled with energy, I retract my root from the earth and come out of my meditation.  I take a deep breath and open my eyes.

I am now nourished and filled with revitalized Qi and energy to help my body function smoothly.
