The Power of One's Thoughts on Your Health

10/29/2015

This was an interesting Qigong treatment.

I was treating a client for pain in her arm. I did an energetic assessment, developed my plan, did the treatment, and then reassessed. I was surprised to discover nothing had changed. Hmmm. So I reassessed the plan to initiate a different treatment approach and went deeper into her energetic field. I was surprised to 'hear' messages - "I just want to die," "I want to go home and be with him (her partner who had recently died), "I don't want to live anymore!".

Then, I could 'see' her qi follow her thoughts (which Qi tends to do) and her thoughts were causing her Qi to tie into knots. It was her thoughts, and her Qi following her thoughts was creating the root cause of her pain. Right now, her pain was in her arm. Last month it had been focused on her back. The month before, it had been focused on her chest. Since thoughts can direct Qi, her thoughts were telling her Qi she wanted to die, and her Qi flow was going through that kind of chaos, going around in different parts of her body. This was the source of her pain.

But then something else happened which I had never experienced before. I thought, "Ahh, she is overwhelmed with grief and just wants to die!" and I then heard the response, "well, that isn't going to happen! I won't let her!"  This presence continued and said, " I won't let her die until she completes what she came on this earth to do."  It was then I assumed this presence must be her "Higher Self" because it is the Higher Self who has that type of control and influence within a person's life.

My client's Higher Self then showed me an image of my client walking around a well worn path near the base of a mountain. My client had been expecting to follow this path up and over the mountain, but the path only went AROUND the mountain. The path didn't go up the mountain, only around it. My client had been following that path a long, long time, and it was not helping her to achieve her personal goal of getting to the top of that mountain.

This visual then changed. Someone gave my client a map, and she then realized she was on the wrong mountain. She looked around and could see it was the next mountain over. It was on THAT mountain where she would achieve her goals.

This Higher Self then let me know that it was THIS journey, on the OTHER mountain that was needed before she could come 'home' and her thoughts about wanting to die would only continue to create pain - it wouldn't make her sick enough to die. She needed to get on the correct mountain, learn to deal with her grief, and then control her continual thoughts of wanting to die. It would be these changes which would help relieve her physical pain.

I completed the Qigong treatment and then spoke to my client about her grief and what her Higher Self had recommended.

After she heard the story of image given to me, about climbing the wrong mountain, did she recognize what she needed to do. It was that image of getting a map which resonated with her.

I believe she will be able to make the changes she needs to get the release of the grief and the pain it is causing her.

Worry Knots the Qi

7/10/2015

Your thoughts impact the flow of Qi (chi). Worry, for example, knots the Qi. Because Qi follows your thoughts, when a person worries, the Qi flows in many directions, and as such, will create circles and knots which eventually will prevent Qi from flowing smoothly, especially in the spleen, stomach, and chest.

Because blood flow follows Qi flow, symptoms from Qi going in the wrong direction will create symptoms we feel. Initially the symptoms from knotting Qi will be abdominal distention, gastric discomfort, shoulder tension, breathlessness, or chest discomfort. But if worrying becomes a persons normal thought process, then chronic abdominal diseases will result.

I recently gave a Qigong medical treatment to a client who was tired and filled with worry due to several medical problems in many of her family. My plan was to purge out any stagnant Qi and nourish all of her major organs and dantien with vibrant Qi.

Usually when I give a medical Qigong treatment, I can usually sense, as well as 'see" the stagnant Qi. This helps me know when the organ is clean of the turbid Qi and ready to receive the nourished and vibrant Qi. But with this client, I could see the turbid Qi in her stomach and pancreas was all knotted up. It was also VERY slippery. When I started to purge it and pull it out of her body, the Qi even looked dark and solid! I knew then this was a long term problem and she had been worrying about her family's health for many, many years.

I purged and threw out her knotted Qi, and each time I took out a big chunk to throw away, the knotted Qi would slip back quickly into her stomach or pancreas. It almost seemed like it was trying to hide from me and was becoming very frustrating. I asked The Old Chinese Master for assistance and he started to sing during this treatment, His soothing voice and music seemed to relax the knotted, slippery, and elusive Qi. I now could pull the knotted Qi from her body and discard it. Eventually, her stomach and pancreas were clean of the putrid Qi and could be filled with vibrant Qi.

Because the emotion of worry can often be a chronic, it can lead to major health problems. To correct these health problems, new thinking behaviors will be needed so the Qi stops biding and getting tied up in knots. Another option is more frequent Qigong treatments to help rid that knotted Qi before it becomes putrid and a haven for chronic diseases to flourish.

Create a Bubble of Protection Even for Distant Healings

I was doing a remote Qigong medical treatment, which means the person I was treating was not physically present, but was at their home in another state, and I was visualizing doing a Qigong medical treatment on them while I was remote and at my home, in a meditative state.

It was from this remote medical Qigong experience that I learned a valuable lesson about the need to create a bubble of protection, even though we were not proximal to each other.

I had been treating a family member with severe back pain for several days. I usually do these remote treatments in the early morning, but on this day, I decided to supplement the treatment at night with the hope he could get a good nights sleep.

However, in my rush, I just did the treatment, then rushed off to bed. I didn't do step one, which is to create an energy ball of protection around me. I also failed to do the closing step, which is to wrap an energy ball around the patient, to keep all the subtle energy 'in'.

BAD MOVE!

Later that night, I woke up in excruciating back and abdominal pain - the same type of pains my family member had been experiencing!  It took me hours to get this pain and energy under control and I couldn't figure out what was going on in my body.  Eventually I realized what I had done - I had not created a bubble a protection around me prior to this treatment AND I had not sealed the energy around him at the end of the treatment. In other words, there was a conduit left open and his pain and discomfort flowed right into me while I lay sleeping.

This was a valuable lesson. Even though we are family, and I had been doing several daily treatments, the energy bubble is NOT continuous. Also, in my rush to get some shut-eye, I failed to disconnect the connection as if I left a door open and his experience was then shared.

This was a valuable, but also a painful lesson. Subtle energy, even though it is often not visible, it is still a force that must always be respected.

Clearing, Energizing, Balancing the Chakras with Qigong

3/22/2015

PictureChakras in the Energetic Body
The chakras are part of the energetic body and in one of the most inner layers in that energetic body. It is possible to do a Qigong treatment on the chakras to help clear, energize, and balance the energy in the chakras. When the chakras are balanced, a person is more apt to be able to receive and send energetic messages. In addition, the person is more able to develop and use spiritual gifts.

Recently I made a modification to the way I do a Qigong chakra treatment. I used to do this type of treatment in silence so the client could have the opportunity to see and feel colors, or hear subtle communication during the chakra energizing process. However, in a recent chakra treatment, I informed the client what I was doing in each step so she was able to mentally follow along. This allowed her to learn the steps in how she could do this type of chakra cleanse and balancing on her own in her own meditations.

For example, when I was clearing the first chakra, I would say something like, "I'm clearing and cleaning your first chakra, which is at the base of your spine in your pelvis.  I'm now getting rid of any gray or stuck energy I see or feel in this chakra."

Then, when the chakra was cleaned and cleared, I would start to create an energy ball of Qi, and I would say, "I'm creating a subtle energy ball of Qi in my hands. I'm directing Qi into this ball.  Now I am infusing it with red vibrant light."

When the energy ball was ready, I then placed it in her lower pelvis and I would say "I'm putting this red vibrant ball of red clear light into your lower pelvis.  It's now going into your first chakra. It is now settling in your chakra. It is now connected to your first chakra".

Next, I asked her to direct her thoughts to the first chakra and meet me there. I could feel when she connected and met her thoughts with mine (you really can feel it happen). I also asked her to tell me when she THOUGHT she was connected, and she would report this almost immediately after I felt that connection. It was a nice validation to know she was totally present into the treatment, too.

I then directed her to FEEL the energy, to FEEL the red, to FEEL the shape of the chakra (it was round), and to report to me what size the chakra was (size of a tennis ball). She reported what she was sensing, and I validated that indeed, this is how it looked to me, too.

I then told her about the spiritual gifts associated with this chakra, such as, for the first chakra, the spiritual gifts are related to sensing and connecting with the earth, sensing the true personalities of people, sensing needs of animals, plants, etc.  It is about tuning into the world around us and listening, feeling, SENSING that world.

I then asked her to find the thread, vibration, or stream of color in this first chakra which, she was most connected to. She would report "OK, I found it."  After that, I moved on to the next chakra and repeated the same process, using the colors associated with that chakra and the spiritual gifts associated with that chakra, too.

I repeated this same process for each chakra until I completed the clearing, cleansing, energizing, and balancing all seven chakras. I then wanted to connected the energy flow to, between, around, and in the chakras. I stood at her feet, and directed my thoughts to the earth energy and then directed this energy into the first chakra, then up to the second chakra, then up to the third chakra, etc. When I completed directing earth energy into the seventh chakra, I then directed the energy to shoot out of the top of her head, then get reabsorbed back into the earth. Then, I repeated the process, pulling in the energy from the earth, into, around, and through each chakra, one by one, until it was once again shooting out the top of her head.

I did this several times. Essentially I was laying a type of energetic highway so that someday she could experience a kundalini shower. If she continues to meditate using her chakras, she may be able to have a kundalini and reap the benefits of this type of subtle energetic experience.

At the end of this chakra cleansing, clearing, fortifying, and balancing, she LOOKED vibrant and reported she felt that way, too.

I concluded that I like this modification in the Qigong Chakra Cleansing protocol. Describing what I'm doing and saying it out loud seemed to help my client follow along, and hopefully this will help her as she continues with chakra meditations. Also, having her connect with each chakra and then find her own energy vibration frequency thread, should help her be able to more easily connect and relate with her chakras because she now has experienced the vibration which matches her own.

Over time, I'm hoping she will someday be able to experience the benefits from that type of experience.

Using Chanting Sounds for Healing

PictureA Type of Chanting Circle
I've been working with a client for several months and we just aren't seeing the results we were hoping to see by now, so in a meditation, before the client arrived, I asked for additional guidance and help for this special case.
When I started this client's medical Qigong treatment, there were two things which were different from prior events:
  1. there was a new nonphysical Being next to me to assist and guide the Qigong treatment, and
  2. I could hear chanting from a circle of nonphysical beings off in the distance.
I was pleased to get this additional assistance.
During the medical qigong treatment, the nonphysical Being, who was VERY TALL, would direct and guide me as to what type of Qi to pull in and which acupoint to use, such as "pull in a small amount of liquid gold Qi from the earth, direct it through K1". I would then be guided as to where to direct my mind so I could locate this special liquid gold Qi.
"Now, move to the top of her head and bring in silver Qi, and place it on the four quarters around DU20."
"Direct your attention and Qi to the pituitary gland."
With each change of instruction and position, I could also hear a change in the chanting. Not only did the chanted words change, but also the pitch and tempo. I could sense the subtle energy flowing in the acupoint based on the tempo provided by the chanters.
In addition, I could feel them encapsulating each chanted word with the energy of love.
This was probably one of the most special and unique medical Qigong treatments I have ever given. It helped expand my awareness of how the energy of sound can be used more the healing process.

Using the Spring Season to Plant Seeds for Change

3/21/2014

PictureAve of the Giants, Northern CA
For me, the spring equinox is a time to get away and rebuild my energy. It is also a time to identify what changes I want to see happen this year, and then plant those idea seeds & nourish them with life force energy with the idea they will grow and flourish through the year.

This year I went to the giant redwoods, walked under those massive trees, sat, meditated, and just allowed the energy of the area to become a part of me. I then identified some ideas & concepts I thought would help create the kind of world I want to be part of and to live in. These were some of the ideas I planted this year for the celebration of spring:
  • I want the water we drink and the air we breath to be clean and pure
  • I want the food we eat to be grown without pesticides and chemicals. I also want the food to not be genetically modified so our bodies know how to use the nutrients in the foods.
  • I want healthcare to be affordable, and a right & available to all. I also want healthcare to include alternative therapies so we can be more empowered to seek and get the care that makes sense for us.
  • I want humanity to feel a connection & have a relationship with mother earth & become good stewards of the land.
  • I want our laws to be fair and equitable for all , not just those with money or power.
  • I want our political officials to truly represent what is best for all people
  • I want communities to be more engaged in the development, the care, & growth of the next generation.
  • I want youth to feel connected to their community so they don't feel the need to join a gang
  • I want society to stop throwing people away and casting them off because they are different
  • I want people to recognize truth when they hear it rather than the numbing drug of hate, fear, and angry rhetoric.
  • I want to see less hate, less fear, less anger in the world
Qigong is about using and directing life force energy. The spring equinox is about preparing and planting seeds for the future. Blending Qigong with the spring equinox provides a way to focus subtle energy and wrap it around ideas we want to grow. The end desire is to create the world we want to live in and be part of - all which begin from seeds filled with ideas and possibilities.

Qigong Master Suzanne Friedman

3/9/2014

PictureQigong Master Dr. Suzanne Friedman
Medical qigong lineages are passed from doctor to apprentice. I was taught by Dr. Suzanne Friedman, who had Qigong passed to her by Dr. Xu Hongtao of the Xiyuan Hospital in Beijing, China. Suzanne died March 3, 2014. She was 45 years old.

Suzanne was a Qigong Master in a spiritual qigong lineage. She also had another teacher, Master YeYoung, who had inducted her into his family's Daoist inner alchemy & meditative qigong forms. The qigong treatments and exercises she taught us came from this medical tradition. Those exercises have been passed down from doctor to doctor since at least 300 BCE.  So for me, I feel rather honored to have been trained and certified by Suzanne whose skills and abilities reach back so long ago.

Suzanne was undoubtedly the best teacher I ever had. Ever. She was so knowledgeable and experienced. She was gracious and encouraging, while mixing large doses of humor in all her lessons. She loved teaching and she captivated us through each of those 8 hour Qigong training classes. She was amazing; absolutely amazing!

During my very first Qigong training class I had some rather unusual experiences and I when I mentioned what happened to Suzanne, she was not at all surprised. This in itself let me know she had created a safe environment to allow subtle energy experiences to take hold, and also a safe place to share what was experienced.

After several Qigong classes, I had many subtle energy experiences. Suzanne finally said, "Beth, when are you going to stop being so surprised by all this?  This is how it is."  We both then laughed. Yep; this is how Qi works. It just seemed so remarkable to me, in part because I was so much older than everyone in class (almost 60) and it was the first time I had been exposed to this type of healing information, and in the open, no less!

I owe Suzanne a great deal. She opened a door and allowed me a safe place to learn and develop my subtle energy skills. I am so grateful I had the privilege of knowing her, and working with her. She played a very important role in my life journey.

The Healing Circle

3/1/2014

PictureHealing Circle
Sometimes during a Qigong Medical Treatment, I sense nonphysical beings present in the treatment. Those allowed into the room is through invitation only, either from myself or my client. But recently, during one of my Qigong medical treatments, I was surprised to see there were about 25+ nonphysical guests surrounding the treatment table. These were friends of my client and she had included them to come and participate in her medical Qigong treatment.

I was primarily focused on my patients lungs and heart during the Qigong medical treatment, but then looked up and noticed her circle of friends were now all connected, with each placing a hand on the next person's shoulder. I also noticed they were breathing in unison; in and out, and in and out, and in and out. I then looked over at my client and could tell they were energetically breathing for her. This allowed us to work more freely on her lungs and heart.I had never witnessed anything like this before; this healing circle were acting like a respirator or a heart-lung bypass machine.

But what happened next surprised me even more. When we were done working on her energetic lungs, each of those 25+ beings then took a golden spark of their personal energy from their chest, about the size of a coin, and then placed it within my clients chest. This seem to trigger my client to resume her own breathing and heart beat so she could resume her own body maintenance.

This experience of observing this healing circle allowed me to witness first hand the power this type of circle can provide. When the healing circle is unified, focused, and filled with love, the power and energy produced can perform miracles; it can even be life giving.

The Wholeness in the Energetic Layer of the Body

2/23/2014

PictureArtist: Mark Tennant
I recently gave a Qigong medical treatment to a woman who, years before, had a double mastectomy from breast cancer. She now no longer had either of her breasts.

But during her Qigong medical treatment, I could feel one of MY breasts starting to ache. My pain become more precise as I moved from her feet towards her chest in the treatment. As I placed my hands over her left chest, the hurt in my left breast intensified. As I mirrored the location of my pain to the location it would be in her body, I then realized there was something that needed to be purged and removed from her body. It seemed I was being guided to make sure this spot was not overlooked in her Qigong treatment.

So, I redirected my attention and focus to go deeper into this part of her energetic field. In that state of mental focus and concentration, I could now "see" a very small red sphere, about the size of a piece of pepper corn, in what would have been her breast. I then directed my focus to protect the other tissues around her energetic breast, encapsulated the red dot of energy. I then pulled and removed it from her energetic body. As soon as I had withdrawn this little red sphere, the pain in my breast immediately stopped. It was as if the message had been received, understood, and acted upon, so the communication mode stopped and my referral pain ended.

But then what happened next also amazed me.

I was still in that deep level of concentration within her energetic body, and as I was shifting my thoughts and getting ready to exit from this energetic layer, I noticed she had both breasts! I knew both of her breasts were not physically there, but in this energetic layer, and this energetic space of her body, both breasts were there. And what made me smile was they were not the breasts of a 50 year old woman; they were the breasts of a 20 year old woman.

I shared what I saw and experienced with my client and she smiled, too. It was as if we both knew she was absolutely whole and complete; it was her physical body that seemed to be living the lie.

Repairing a Cyst in the Energetic Layers of the Body

2/10/2014

During a recent Qigong Medical treatment, a young man came to see me about his desire to heal a large cyst naturally and avoid surgery. He is trying several different healing modalities and wanted to explore Qigong as another option to help in his path to healing.

A cyst refers to an abnormal sac or pocket in the body, and in this case, it was filled with fluid. It was also about the size of a rather large grapefruit. It is nonmalignant, but can be painful because of the pressure it places on other organs in the body.

I had been prompted and guided about what Qigong treatments could help him before he arrived. This included two treatment courses; a daily microcosmic orbit meditations of infusing his body with energy and directing it through certain ports along his Conception and Governing vessel which could then nourish his organs. The other part would be to remap a healing path from the healthy layer of his energetic body through each layer of the energy body, layer by layer by layer, and "reprogram" it to become cyst free.

So during his treatment, we did the microcosmic orbit meditation together so he could learn the process and start training him mind to focus and direct energy. The next step was to find the layer in his body where the problem originated and begin the repair process, layer by layer.

So during the Qigong medical treatment, I went into his energetic space and found the layer or his energetic body that was intact. For him, it was in the 5th layer of his energetic body, which tells me this had been a problem for a long time. I then took what I can only describe as the “corrected code” and then went to the layer where the cyst seemed to have begun.

I then visualized placing the correct “code” into the hole and watched it become woven into a strong mesh that could prevent any further leaks. Next, I then went to the next layer of his energetic body and once again saw a gapping hole. This hole was a bit bigger that the first layer. I once again brought the “corrected code” from the original wall, placed it into the gap, and again, the code generated a new mesh, closing that hole and strengthening it. I then observed the small cyst in this layer starting to fade & disappear.

Each layer had a larger hole and a bigger cyst, so each layer required a bigger mesh.  I observed how each cyst became deflated and then seeped fluid out of its sack, was absorbed quickly and easily by the body, and then the cyst completely disappeared when the hole got plugged.

By the end of this Qigong treatment, I could see we had created a new pathway so these different layers now had a way to go from layer to layer and rewrite the outcome so it could become cyst free. The process was something he could repeat in his daily meditations. This would help reinforce the healing process laid out for his body in the Qigong treatment.

I also asked him to do these visual healing meditations daily, and to to conclude the meditation with visualizing his body being free of the cyst, feeling vibrant, strong, and healthy. Then, he was to take some deep breaths and allow that feeling of wellness to resonate throughout his entire body. He was also to pause for a moment and reflect on a time when he felt deeply loved, and then to take that feeling and send it throughout his entire being so he can feel like he is being bathed in the energy of love.

This was my recommended Qigong healing treatment for this young man who wanted to add Qigong to his other treatment modalities to heal his cyst. This treatment was specific for his type of energy body and his type of cyst.
