“What? You can feel Qi? I didn’t know this was even possible?”
“Of course it is. You need to learn how to feel the Qi so you can validate you are inserting the needle in the correct location,” she replied.
I was dumbfounded. I thought Qi was an invisible energy that could not be measured, quantified, or felt.
Shortly after this class, I started to tune into what was happening while I located different acupuncture points and I was amazed. I was NOW open to sensing and feeling the Qi and I started to FEEL it!!!
Sometimes I could even hear a “swish, swish, swish” sound when I was at the acupuncture point. Other times I could hear a buzzing sound at the point. And yet other times, I heard nothing, but an overwhelming sensation of confidence it was "right here!"
What I am getting at, is that sometimes we may not even know something exists or is even possible. But after we learn of its existence, then suddenly doors start to open and we start to receive new knowledge and experiences we didn't know we were missing. This encourages us to continue walking on the new path.
This may be your first exposure to Qi-gong, Chinese Medicine, or Energy work, but be open to the possibilities of what and where it may take you. You may be surprised and delighted in what you discover.
