In silence, the sender sent a color and the receiver would say what color they had received. To be honest, it felt like I was just guessing.
"I see red!' I would say, and the sender would say, "YES!"
I would then move on to my next student and we would repeat the process.
"White!' I would say, and the answer would be "YES!"
I thought, wow, this is strange. I'm getting them all correct!
"Yes" she exclaimed!
But I then continued, "that perfume or lotion on your hands is overwhelming! You should go wash it off. That smell of roses is too strong."
She responded, "I don’t have any lotion on my hands nor do I have any perfume. I was sending you PINK ROSES in my visualization!”
It was at this moment I became hooked on Qigong. I now knew there was something to this Qigong thing after all. In this very first Qigong exercise, we were learning to send and receive color energies. AND not only were we able to send color, we could even send SMELLS!
Before this Qigong class I did not even know what Qigong was. I had no awareness of different energies, colors, and subtle energy. I had been taught in Western Medicine and had a didactic education of medical data. But here we were, sending and receiving nonverbal communication about colors to each other and even interpreting the messages without any verbal communication. This was pretty incredible and rather amazing.
The door of curiosity was now wide open and I was ready to learn about Qigong and the subtle energy of Qi. This was the start of whole new adventure in the art of healing and health that I hadn't even know existed before walking in the door of this classroom.
